This white sheet cake was made for an 80th Birthday party.  The numbers were cut out from another sheet cake, using a glass bowl and knife.  The numbers were put on the cake with the backs raised.  The cake was iced using buttercream icing.  I put royal icing roses and carnations for decoration, with green vines attaching all the corners.  I also put a few blue drop flowers on to bring the blue colour to the lower level.  I made a banner with fondant and laid it at the front of the cake.  I wrote Happy Birthday using buttercream icing.
